Benevolence Hall is a free art installation and community space that invites visitors to reflect on their own journeys and relationships to Canada, through the lens of the Hakka. The installation includes a reading room focused on Hakka authors and artists, a short film about Victoria’s Tam Kung Hakka Temple, and a video installation “Moon Gate,” created for the Market Gallery. The project is presented by Toronto History Museums and produced with the support of Why Not Theatre, and mentor Yung Yemi.
